Joseph Addai
Joseph Kwahu Duah Addai Jr.〔(【引用サイトリンク】work=rbref.com )〕 ( ) (born May 3, 1983) is a former American football running back in the National Football League (NFL). He was selected in the first round (30th overall pick) of the 2006 NFL Draft out of Louisiana State University by the Indianapolis Colts and played for the team for six seasons.
==Early years==
Addai's family hails from Ghana in West Africa. In high school, Addai was a left-handed option-style quarterback for the Sharpstown Apollos. He played football and ran track. In his senior year, he rushed for 1,429 yards on 159 carries and completed 37 passes for 425 yards. He was chosen as a member of the 5A All-State first team in Texas. He was named an All-American by ESPN and Fox Sports, and was rated as a top 100 recruit. In track, he was timed at 10.7 seconds in the 100-meter dash and at 22.1 seconds in the 200-meter dash.〔http://www.lsusports.net/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=174172〕
